How can you ensure that communication is possible for a longer period of time?

According to Kepler's second law, the satellite takes a longer time to travel a given distance when it is farther away from earth.

For longer periods communication techniques are as follows:

1. Increase the apogee height: At the apogee point, the satellite should be situated farthest from the earth. If we increase the apogee height the satellite velocity decrease and so that satellite will visible for longer periods of time.

"The apogee height can be increased by changing the orbital shape i.e increase the value of eccentricity,e"

2. Use polar orbit: If we placed a satellite in polar orbit and the apogee placed at the overhead region then the satellite remains visible for longer periods of time from the earth station(ES). Hence communication is possible for longer periods of time.

3. Use multiple satellites: Use multiple numbers of satellites will ensure communication for most of the time.
